Discussion Group at Enterprise Educators event

FuelRCA brand is the business

FuelRCA, the Royal College of Art’s central professional practice programme, collaborated with Enterprise Educators UK in January 2008 to host 'Make it theirs' — a national conference for more than 30 colleges and universities on using branding to make enterprise education more relevant to their students.

FuelRCA's experience of engaging art and design students through a consistent visual brand was explored alongside Coventry University's approach to creating a virtual and real 'enterprise cafe' for business start-ups, and student-led activities at Bath University's 'Banter' scheme.

The conference was over-subscribed and Leeds University is hosting a follow-up event at which FuelRCA will again make a contribution. Further projects with Enterprise Educators UK are in the pipeline for 2008/9.

FuelRCA, which is led by InnovationRCA’s Head of Innovation Development John Bound, provides information, training and mentoring to help students and recent graduates to develop their professional careers.

Enterprise Educators UK is a national network of over 80 universities, enabling education professionals to share best practice in enterprise and entrepreneurship teaching and research.
