WorkTech connects at British Library

InnovationRCA is playing a leading role in the development of an annual conference at the British Library to explore the impact of new technology on workplace design and architecture. WorkTech is a collaboration between the Royal College of Art, the Cordless Group and the British Library, which has been rethinking its study areas for the wi-fi generation.

WorkTech 08 takes place at the British Library on 18 November 2008 and will feature presentations by management gurus Robert Heller, Andy Law and Adrian Furnham.

WorkTech 07 took place at the British Library on 13 November 2007. InnovationRCA director Jeremy Myerson chaired the event, which included presentations by leading architects Ken Shuttleworth and Frank Duffy, RCA professor of architecture Nigel Coates, Microsoft's Chief Technology Officer Jerry Fishenden and Melanie Howard of the Future Foundation.

A selection of College innovation projects related to the future of work was showcased in an adjacent exhibition area.
