Royal College of Art at London Design Festival 2008

InnovationRCA co-ordinated the programme for the Royal College of Art’s contribution to this September’s London Design Festival.

Exhibition 1: Upper Gulbenkian Gallery, RCA, 19-23 September 2008
PENCIL - 45 years of creativity from the D&AD Annuals

The best advertising and graphics from the D&AD Annuals, chosen by past D&AD Presidents 1962-2008. This exhibition aims to give the Festival a landmark graphic design and advertising show in South Kensington. Curated and designed by Simon Waterfall, RCA graduate and current D&AD President, with Jeremy Myerson, author of Rewind: 40 years of Design and Advertising.

Exhibition 2: Lower Galleries, RCA, 19-30 September 2008
Living Proof
An exhibition of industry-funded projects from the RCA Helen Hamlyn Centre, demonstrating the role of evidence-based design in creating innovation for people. Includes projects in the areas of inclusive design, workplace design and design for patient safety. Curated by Rama Gheerawo and Jeremy Myerson. Designed by Matt Harrison and Catherine Greene and coordinated by Margaret Durkan.
